Cultivating Compersion: The Art of Shared Joy
Rebecca Beltran, Flow State Coach, Radiant Rebecca
Compersion is more than the opposite of jealousy—it’s the felt experience of joy for another’s joy, the expansion of love beyond self-reference. Born from a 1980s San Francisco commune and now echoed in psychology and neuroscience, compersion invites us to reimagine intimacy as a shared field rather than a private resource.
This session explores how compersion can be practiced, nourished, and celebrated. We’ll trace its surprising history, unpack its emotional mechanics, and experiment with ways to find “compersion fodder”—moments, stories, and sensations that naturally awaken empathy, wonder, and delight in others’ joy.
Through reflection and conversation, we’ll explore how this simple shift in perception transforms not only relationships, but our very sense of what love is capable of.

Radical Relating: A Queer and Polyamory-Informed Guide to Love Beyond the Myth of Monogamy (virtual)
Mel Cassidy, Somatic Relationship Coach, Radical Relating
In this brief virtual cameo, I will share insights from my new book, Radical Relating: A Queer and Polyamory-Informed Guide to Love Beyond the Myth of Monogamy. Together, we’ll explore how deeply ingrained cultural narratives around love, commitment, and individuality shape the way we show up in relationships. Many of us have inherited scripts that limit our capacity for authenticity and connection, even in non-monogamous spaces. By bringing awareness to these patterns, we can begin to unlearn the myths that separate us from ourselves and others. My aim is to offer a compassionate framework for relating that honors autonomy, consent, and interdependence—one that supports both personal growth and collective healing.

Co-Homeownership
Amy McKenna, Managing Broker, Windermere Real Estate Co
So many people say, “It’s always been my dream to [live with my polycule/create a friends’ compound/be in intergenerational living/invest with friends].” But few put those dreams in motion, partly because it’s difficult to envision in a world set up for property ownership being only for a single person or married couple. In this talk, we’ll over some of the basics of co-owning property, touching on: co-ownership agreements; preparing for the unexpected; and real-life examples and possibilities. Attendees will go away with practical tools and resources to move forward. Questions encouraged!
